Your Dishory account
Request account deletion
You can request deletion of your Dishory account and associated data by email. You do not need to have the app installed.
1. Send a request
Send an email to support@dishory.de with the subject ‘Dishory account deletion’. Include the email address you use to sign in to Dishory and, if known, your Dishory username.
If possible, send the request from the email address linked to your account. State clearly that you want your account and associated data deleted.
This button opens your email app with a draft. The request is sent only when you send the email yourself. If you do not have an email app set up, you can send it through webmail.
2. Verify account ownership
Before deleting the account, we check whether the request really comes from you. If the account cannot be identified clearly, we will ask for the information needed to verify it.
Do not send us a password, Google sign-in codes, or a copy of your identity document in your first request. Opening this page or preparing the email does not delete your account.
3. Scope of deletion
A deletion request covers your Dishory sign-in account, profile and preferences, your dishes and visits with notes and photos, your community posts, saved items, personal statistics, follow relationships, requests, notifications, and delivery tokens.
We process a verified request manually and without undue delay. Personal community posts are deleted unless they have first been genuinely anonymized and checked. Entries already copied into other users’ journals may remain as the recipients’ own entries if links to your account and personal content about you have been removed. We cannot directly delete copies other users have saved outside Dishory.
Our cloud backups are deleted asynchronously once they reach 30 days of age; the objects then remain recoverable in the backup bucket for seven more days. Data required by law may be kept longer for the relevant purpose. The Privacy policy contains further retention information. We will email you when processing is complete.
Your Google account itself will not be deleted. Signing out, uninstalling the app, or clearing local app data does not delete your account.
